Currently, Alpha Video offers a nice DVD featuring the Adventures of Rocky Jones Space Ranger. It runs about 78 minutes and is of excellent quality. The adventure is entitled "Crash of the Moons." Since the Rocky Jones show was originally shot on film for syndication, the transfers are of very good quality. It stars Richard Crane as Jones and is from the year 1954. The price is right as well: $9.99 in your local outlet, or order direct from Alpha video www.oldies.com for their price of $5.95

Alpha Video also offers a Science Fiction Serial 6-Pack a set of three serials on six discs for $19.95 (slp $39.95) The three serials offered are Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe, The Phantom Creeps and Radar Men From the Moon. Undersea Kingdom is slated for March release. Likewise, each serial disc is for sale for $5.95. A word of warning here, Alpha has a reputation for uneven quality. I have not viewed these particular discs, in this instance, you pays your money and takes your chances. At these prices, do not expect the moon.

Alpha has also just released the German made Flash Gordon TV series from 1954. Running time is 90 minutes and features 4 episodes from the series. It stars Steve Holland and is reputed to be a real stinker of a series. But for $5.95, it might be worth a look-see.
